DIY Argon laser

Having an obsession with lasers and practically anything else involving plasma, a few years ago I purchased a used argon-ion laser tube that had been pulled from some sort of enormous printing machinery. It sat around for quite a while, as school work and other projects occupied most of my time and energy, but in June 2006 I finally had a chance to light it up.
